GT-LogoBeautifully designed by Seva Kaur and conceived by Satya Kaur, the Guru Ram Das Project logo is based on a birds eye view of the Golden Temple, which is a universal spiritual centre in North India (Punjab) created by the Sikh masters for healing, service and shelter for one and all.

In the centre of the symbol is the main building of the Gurdwara, with its four small domes on each corner and the main dome in the middle

The Gurdwara is surrounded by the healing waters that are imbued with the spirit of the continuous meditation that takes place there. This lake, known as a sarovar, was excavated under the supervision of Guru Ram Das. The Golden Temple itself was built under the supervision of Guru Arjun.

Finally the logo shows the outer walls of the complex with an entrance from each direction representing the openness of the Guru’s court to all people. The four terms placed on the logo represent the aspirations of the project and part of the message of the Sikh community in the world namely:

Unity, Respect, Equality and Service.
