SUMMARY:ਸੁਨਿਐ Suni-ai: Deep Listening
DESCRIPTION:ਸੁਿਨਐ \nSuni-ai: Deep Listening \nwith Suhab Kaur \n“From listening\, death cannot approach. Nanak says\, those who listen flower forever” \nYou are invited to join the Guru Ram Das Project’s forthcoming One for the Heart online workshop\, on Saturday 10th January 2026. We will celebrate the start of the New Year with an exploration of Suni-ai\, the state of “deep listening” as taught by Guru Naanak Dev Ji. \nGuru Naanak’s teachings on Suni-ai are contained in several stanzas (Pauris 8-11) of his sacred poem Japji Sahib. Guru Nanak teaches us that through deep listening we can acquire the highest virtues\, the wisdom of sages\, and the ability to “comprehend the depths of boundless knowledge”. \nSuni-ai is a profound\, active state of being fully present to sensory and spiritual input. It is the state of the awakened self-sensory human; it relates to the extraordinary dimension of the 10th Spiritual Body\, the Radiant Body\, and its virtue\, Royal Courage. \nSuni-ai (Deep listening) is a way of living. As we practice to listen in this way\, we learn to focus and expand\, tune into subtle frequencies and invisible dimensions\, connect to the Earth and the Sky. Our ability to go beyond the chatter of the ego mind and listen to our higher self\, to our intuition\, to nature and to others becomes refined\, and as a consequence we feel more grounded\, supported\, and connected to the larger Whole. We listen deeply so that we can tune to the Hukam\, the divine will\, and act in harmony with the flow of life\, in a neutral\, intuitive\, fearless\, inclusive\, compassionate way. \nIn the workshop we will learn how the expansive and transformative practice of Suni-ai/Deep Listening can lead us to a spiritual awakening and to living a creative and purposeful life. We will also practice a meditation for Strenghtening our Inner Voice and reflect\, from the perspective of the sacred numerology of Karam Kriya\, on how Suni-ai relates to the year we are about to enter\, 2026\, and its qualities and its gifts. \nWorkshop details \nDate: Saturday 10 January 2026\, 9.30-12am online \nInvestment: £ 15 (suggested donation). Concessions available \nAbout the teacher \nSuhab Kaur\, PhD\, has been practicing Kundalini Yoga and Karam Kriya since 1995 under the guidance of her spiritual teacher Shiv Charan Singh. She is a KRI certified Lead Trainer teaching in the UK and Europe\, and a Karam Kriya trainer and consultant. Between 2011-16 Suhab served as secretary of KYTA UK and is currently Chair for the Yoga Charity Guru Ram Das Project\, working in support of vulnerable people in society. Suhab is also a musician and interdisciplinary artist\, and has participated in exhibitions and collaborative projects in the UK\, Europe\, the US and Japan.

SUMMARY:Teaching Kundalini Yoga in Therapeutic Settings
DESCRIPTION:A specialist workshop for Kundalini Yoga teachers considering working with populations that require a more sensitive\, adaptive approach \n\n\n\n\nSpecialist Training for Kundalini Yoga Teachers \nA practical workshop for Kundalini Yoga teachers who are considering working with populations that require a more sensitive\, adaptive approach to practice. Kundalini Yoga is traditionally taught with an emphasis on “keep up” as a way to build discipline\, train the mind\, and develop resilience. These principles have real value but may not be appropriate in a therapeutic setting. \nThis workshop explores how teachers can create a safe and inclusive space in which students are supported to practice Kundalini Yoga to their own ability. It addresses how to balance challenge with discernment\, teaching students to tune in and creating space for self-agency. \nThrough discussion alongside Kundalini Yoga and meditation\, the workshop introduces a more therapeutic teaching orientation while remaining rooted in the tradition. This is not a yoga therapy training\, but a grounded entry point for teachers interested in working with vulnerable populations\, including elders\, people in recovery\, and those managing health challenges. \nTeacher Bio \nSat Shakti Kaur is the founder and director of JOY Yoga and serves as Project Director for 3HO Europe. A long-time Kundalini practitioner\, she’s been teaching since 2007. She is a KRI-certified teacher and trainer\, experienced in teaching general yoga classes for beginner to advanced students\, specialty classes for women\, students aged 60+\, and those with health conditions. She has trained in Kundalini Yoga Therapy and is a practitioner of Sat Nam Rasayan. \nA former ballet dancer\, Sat Shakti has a background in business and the arts. Integrating Kundalini into her life\, enabled her to heal a debilitating back injury. She loves sharing Kundalini Yoga for its deep capacity to heal and transform\, meeting people exactly where they are. \nOne For The Heart \nThe Guru Ram Das Project‘s One For The Heart workshops are a platform for Kundalini Yoga teachers with specialist knowledge to share their expertise to help others. They also fund GRDP’s charitable work – sharing Kundalini Yoga and Meditation with vulnerable people.
