The room fills. A curious combination of serenity and anticipation descends.
Kirtan starts, I am not familiar with the melodies or the words, it does not matter I fall into the hypnotic unifying quality of shared intention. I feel like a small child, every now and again I look around me, through new and excited eyes I peek at the gentle comings and goings against the tingling backdrop of expanding heart centred awareness.
We flow into Wahe Guru Simran, energy starts to intensify. As we move into the early hours, my mind momentarily asserts itself, overwhelming tiredness descends, I look around, many souls rest now, I put my head down for a moment. Wahe Guru Simran does not let me sleep, the call of the drums intensifies, incredible energy crescendos over and over, I cannot rest, I get up, I move closer, energy infuses my entire being, I am no longer me, energy merges.
We shift into our Aquarian Sadhana, my mind again asserts itself, my body protests at the asana, I long to rest. Then mantras start and weariness is forgotten, we dive again and again into familiar, divine, heart opening sounds, we leave behind all that no longer serves and in deepest gratitude, with open hearts, united souls and blissful anticipation we usher in the new era of the Aquarian Dawn. Sat Nam Wahe Guru.
