The
Guru Ram Das Project (GRDP) works with many groups of beneficiaries to
share how to live happily and healthily in mind, body and
spirit.
The Charity was created in 2003 to distinctly support and build on the
charitable and community based activities that were developing at the
Kriya Centre in Archway, North London.
The services provided by the Charity include the practice of Kundalini yoga & meditation, the provision of holistic healthcare and counselling. The Charity is also involved in interfaith work, education programmes and community events such as Keertan and meditation evenings which are held each month. These activities are open to everyone regardless of age, background or physical health. They have roots in Sikh Dharma, but their message is of relevance to the whole community, and have profoundly life transforming benefits. The Project has a pool of teachers and practitioners who work intensively and successfully with a wide variety of people such as recovering addicts, the homeless, prisoners, HIV/AIDS & immune deficiency sufferers, the elderly, mental health clients, women who have experienced domestic violence and young people with behavioural health issues. By the contribution of the trustees, staff and volunteers, the reach of the Project has extended considerably as requests for GRDP outreach support grow steadily. The Charity’s commitment to continual refinement remains strong on all fronts, as does the focus and enthusiasm to deliver community based projects. If anyone is interested to hear more, or would like to contribute, please contact the GRDP Project Manager, Siri Ganesh Kaur, on Tel: 020 8361 2488, Mob: 07799 133305 or Email: sirig@grdp.co.uk |
